Above is the cartoon I call “Umbrella”, on view from April 27 - June 1, 2025 at the Hastings Municipal Building, 7 Maple Avenue, 10706. It is part of my exhibiton, “A Month of Sundays”. As the Monday cartoonist for King Features Syndicate’s “Six Chix”, my work has been recognized by the National Cartoonists Society, The Newswomen’s Club of New York, and the Newseum. Before working as a cartoonist, I was in animation, creating and directing IDs for MTV, props and characters for children’s TV programs, including “Doug” and “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse.” My cartoons have appeared in publications such as Glamour, The New York Times, Funny Times, and World War 3 Illustrated.
